The State of Play announcements has PlayStation fans very excited for the future. Us included. While the games are still long way off, we can’t help but hype and gush over it already. Here are the games from June’s State of Play games that we are looking forward to the most.  

Resident Evil 4 Remake

Leon S. Kennedy is again back in this highly anticipated remake of the beloved classic. Leon is sent on a mission to rescue the daughter of the U.S. President, Ashley Graham who has been abducted by a mysterious cult. Resident Evil 4 has been a fan favorite of the series since it was released in 2005. This remake should be a bloody good time for old and new fans alike.    

Final Fantasy XVI

It’s been six long years since we last saw a  mainline entry in the Final Fantasy series. First announced in 2020 during a Sony PlayStation 5 showcase, we’re finally getting confirmation that the game is indeed releasing in 2023.  A visual treat of a trailer of the game has been released and with fan-favorites Hiroshi Takai and Kazutoyo Maehiro on board with the development, many are already salivating at the thought of finally playing the game next year.

With stylistic combat and plenty of hand holding, Eternights could turn out to be the perfect marriage of apocalyptic action games and dating sims when it comes out in 2023.
