Wallet Codes 1st Anniversary: A Year of Achievements, Challenges, and Milestones

December 8, 2021, the day Wallet Codes officially completed its incorporation as a separate and equal private business entity within the Forest Group of Companies. It has been an exhilarating 12 months since, as our company continues to ride on exponential growth, hand in hand with the ever-expanding gaming industry.

2022 has truly been an exciting year for us, as we celebrate both our 1-Year Anniversary as an individual company, and commemorate half a decade in the business, as a one-stop platform for gamers to buy digital vouchers with ease and redeem in peace.

Our first year brought about the usual challenges of a young company, paired with a worldwide challenge that all companies had to face: the pandemic, and the associated restrictions put in place across our operational regions.

As 2022 comes to a close, we can proudly say that we have exceeded all our expectations, and we are heading into the new year more prepared and more confident than ever.

OUR PRODUCT MILESTONES

Today, our platforms on both website and Android offer over 50 popular and highly sought-after digital top-up vouchers and game credits for the biggest gaming platforms in the world, among which include Mobile Legends, PUBG UC, Steam, Xbox, Nintendo, and more.

With every successful transaction, Wallet Codes also hosts a loyalty reward program where users will receive P Points.

Alongside the variety of our products, we have dived headfirst to combat the privacy and security issues that have plagued the industry without discounting our usability, and focused on offering the most secure and convenient service possible for our new and existing users.

While extending our security protocols to include two-factor authentication (2FA), we have also continuously expanded our payment options by integrating over 30 different payment gateways.

Quoting our CEO and Co-founder Sharon Maurenn,

“Priding ourselves as a young, enthusiastic, and innovation-driven company, we are regularly incorporating new payment gateways and products across our seven operating regions to best serve the needs of our customers.”

With the privacy, safety, and convenience of our users as a priority in our move forward, our efforts have paid off. Wallet Codes now attracts more than 500,000 registered users and has facilitated over a million transactions since.

With our strong user base, our revenue has grown tenfold since 2019, generating a revenue of USD 7.8 million as of today.

Coinciding with our incorporation, we underwent a fresh rebranding for our brand by launching our new set of logos, alongside our new business cards, polo tees, and blog designs!

Wallet Codes Grand App Launch in March 2022

The zenith of our achievements in the past 12 months was none other than the grand app launch of our Android app in March 2022 to the world.

Starting off on March 29 with Taiwan, our largest user base, our Android app was then released to all Wallet Codes operating markets in quick succession, exclusively on the Google Play Store.

This marks a brand-new milestone in our growth, and a brand-new outlet for user accessibility. We also made sure to give back to our loyal users by launching an array of promotional events, discounts, and our P Points giveaways!

Jocelyn Chang, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Wallet Codes, who also oversees its product operations in the East Asia region, said,

“Wallet Codes users from East and Southeast Asia have always been our driving force to aim higher and go further.

To provide further convenience and security, as well as expand product availability to our customer base, we launched our Android app in March this year, and will continue introducing new, exciting products that matches the local and regional interests of our users.”

Scaling Up with B2B Partnerships

Alongside our focus on ongoing in the B2C (business-to-customer) market, we have also taken key initiatives to crucially expand our B2B (business-to-business) operations in all our regions, notably in Taiwan and Cambodia, and in the past 12 months witnessed a year of significant growth and lasting partnerships.

Our global partnerships include Mintroute, a Dubai-based digital aggregator company, ABA, Acleda, and Canadia banks from Cambodia, gaming and e-sports company 4Gamers, and ASUS from Taiwan, as well as Singaporean e-commerce platform iGamie, among others.

Growing businesses and communities together

For as long as we have operated, we are always steadfast in our belief that growing our business is only as great as the communities we operate in, and we made sure to give back to the people who had our back.

We believe that it is crucial that we can all grow together, toward a more welcoming and supportive environment for young talents to thrive.

In the past year, we have held regular and seasonal promotional giveaways, lucky draws, and double P points events, in line with local interests and festivities, while also collaborating with and supporting live-streamers, KOLs & Vtubers from Taiwan & Philippines to hold regular live stream events & competitions.

Alongside our sister regional esports company FIGHT, Wallet Codes sponsored online tournaments and events across our operating regions, with the aim of empowering a new generation of South East Asian rising talents.

On the flip side, Wallet Codes has also threaded new grounds in external media outreach, touching bases with new collaborations and expanding upon existing partnerships with Taiwanese media outlets like NowNews, TechBang and Yahoo News, Indonesia-based leading media Kumparan, HiTekno and Esportsnesia, and South East Asian regional tech media KrAsia, among dozen others.
